A massive group of protesters has gathered at Dhaka’s
Central Shaheed Minar to take part in the protest march programme called by the
Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The coordinators of the protest had set 3pm on Saturday for
the programme. Students and people of many classes and professions marched from
different parts of the capital to attend the protest. Protesters gathered at
Dhaka’s Science Laboratory intersection around 12pm and then marched to the
Shaheed Minar around 3pm.
The protesters chanted slogans calling for justice for those
killed in the violence surrounding the quota protest movement, demanded that
the perpetrators be punished, and also called for Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina’s resignation.
